Sleepover with Our Cousin Sofie!

The girls were so excited to have their cousin Sofie sleep over last Friday. Karolina is off track right now. She made a list/agenda for the evening and as soon as they completed an item she would cross it off. I should have had her add "fall asleep quickly"to the list, maybe that would have helped:) They finally fell asleep at 11pm, I don't think my girls have ever gone to sleep that late! The next day they were so tired and emotional and Karolina commented to me that she didn't want to stay up that late again:)

But it was a very fun and exciting evening!

Let's Go Fly a Kite!!!

We have a huge park right by our home ( and as soon as they finish the cut through it will be about a 30 second walk to get there!) Anyway it is perfect for flying kites, we had fun!

Easter Dresses/Mumus!!

Betsy bought me this fun bright fabric last year and I saved it to sew their Easter dresses for this year. I found a cute pattern and I was so excited to sew them. They turned out nice but very WIDE! Felipe affectionatley calls them "mumus ( moo moos, I'm not sure how to spell that!) " . I didn't realize the pattern ran so big and short. If I didn't add an extra tier to Karolina's it would have been too short, and if I would've realized that when I cut them out I would have added an inch to each tier proportionately, but I didn't:) I have realized what makes sewing enjoyable for me. Simple patterns--- meaning no gathers, zippers or buttons and a pattern I can easily add length to ( I love longer dresses)! Suprisingly, there are so many options for little girls with these qualifications! I think I have achieved my sewing fix until Christmas, I'm a little bit "sewn" out:) But it is very fun to sew especially for girls!!!

Easter Bunny Cake!

Karolina, Amalia and I had fun making the bunny cake this morning before church. We took it to share with our cousins at Jolynne and Jose's house for the egg hunt and dinner! Note my girls are chomping on candy already in the wee hours of the morning:)

Conference Cuties!

Let's Color Easter Eggs!!!

We colored Easter Eggs with the Jiménez cousins on Sunday, it was fun. Poor Karolina started feeling sick, as you can see in the photos. We ended up going to Insta Care, but the strep culture came back negative, she had a viral sore throat, but she is feeling better today:)

Amalia is a Pro!!!

Amalia has had the sniffles for the past few weeks ( we don't know if it is caused by allergies or a small cold) Consequently, she coughs and has needed her inhaler. She can do it "all by herself " now and she is very excited about that. By the way she is feeling much better now, she hasn't coughed for 5 days--- yeah!!!

Camping in the basement!!!

Felipe set the camping tent up in the basement for the girls! It was fun, we put the TV in it and watched a movie together, the girls loved it:)
