Preschool Girl!

Amalia started preschool last week and she is loving it. I tried to get her into the 3 year old program last year but by the time our home was completed , all of the classes were full. So we did "Mommy Preschool" at home. Now she is in the 4 year program MWF afternoon, while I teach a classs in the 3 year old program. I can't say enough about the preschool and their phonics program:) Karolina attended their program as well. It is absolutely remarkable. The other night Amalia wanted to fall asleep by herself. I told her I would be in the next room if she needed me. She wanted to do it so bad. A few minutes later she came out of her room with tears streaming down her cheeks telling Felipe she needed me. When I laid down on her bed and settled in Karolina commented to me, " Mom, I tried to comfort her... I told her to think about chocolate!"

Aunt Maddy Left Today:(

Maddy left to go back down to school today after being with us all summer. Amalia and Karolina were pretty bummed out. She was fun to have stay with us:) She was good to play with the girls alot: ) thanks Maddy.

Lemonade anyone!

The girls have always wanted to have a lemonade stand, so when they asked if they could have one at the yard sale we were having a few weeks ago at Hannah's house it seemed like the perfect opportunity! We were happy that grandparents, aunts and mom were so thirsty --wink! wink! None of the yard sale folk seemed to be:) They worked so hard on their sign.
