Alligator, Alligator, what time is it?

Felipe's brother has been visiting the past few weeks. The cousins have all enjoying being with each other. They love to play alligator, alligator-- especially my girls! The older cousins have been so good to humor the younger ones and they played over and over! Amalia especially loved playing with Alex, he was so sweet to her, they both have the same color auburn red, curley hair!

At the risk of sounding out of it - what is alligator, alligator? I've never heard of it, but it sounds like something my kidos would LOVE to play if it involves running.

One person is the alligator. All the other kids line up about 20 feet away and ask "Alligator, alligator what time is it?" The Alligator says 4 o'clock (or what ever number) and the kids walk that many steps. The kids are trying to get to the alligator before he says "Lunch Time" and tries to tag one person. THe trick for the alligator is to wait until the kids are close enough to tag but not to reach him before he says lunch time. The kids want to reach him but not get tagged during "Lunch Time".

It's also fun to play it in the pool!
