Like Father Like Son...

May has been a little crazy for our family. Felipe ended up in the ER via ambulance on his birthday in an incredible amount of pain in his back... he couldn't even walk. They did an MRI and discovered he has 3 herniated discs. Luckily he is feeling ALOT better.... but needless to say not the best birthday memories for him. Victor had surgery early this morning...he had his 2nd set of tubes put in and his adenoids removed. Poor boy has had unresolved ear infections for 7 weeks now, since his first set of tubes fell out. We had no luck with antibiotics and the fluid just wouldn't go away --- there was an incredible amount of pressure in both of his ears, poor boy. The surgery went great and the doctor who takes care of Victor is incredibly kind and gentle. Victor was happy to leave the hospital and watch "Buzz" and drink his "apple juice!" It has been such a blessing to have my Mom living so close to us... she helps us out so much and we are so grateful:) We are ready for a summer full of lazy days, swimming and having fun!

I hope that things get better for you guys now. What an aweful birthday for Felipe (Jackson can relate. That was how Christmas was for him). I hope these new tubes for Victor help him too. It is so hard to see your loved ones in pain.
